ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

This unit covers advanced anatomy and physiology as a progression from L2 for musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, nervous and endocrine systems. This knowledge can be applied to exercise programme design for a range of clients. 

This unit covers commonly occurring medical conditions to enable correct advice and support to be given to clients.

This unit covers knowledge required to design a suitable exercise programme specific to a clients goals, needs, ability as well as level of fitness.

This unit covers knowledge required to deliver an effective personal training session with a client, which is specific to their goals, needs, ability as well as level of fitness.

This unit covers knowledge on the key principles of healthy eating, as well as how to analyse a client’s nutritional intake with the view to giving nutritional advice to support their physical activity, ensuring all is within the professional boundaries / scope of practice of a personal trainer. 

This unit covers the knowledge required to set up and develop a personal training business either on an employed, or self-employed basis.
